What Causes Hair-fall

Hormones have a close association with hair growth; thus, they have a big impact on the hair cycle and hair follicle structure. Many hormones control hair growth, cycle, and density. Harmones like Androgens, Oestroge, Cortisol, Thyroid have major impact on the health & growth the hair

What Causes Hair-fall - details

1) Androgens – Androgens are a group of sex hormones. They help people enter puberty & mature physically. Testosterone is the most common androgen. Hair follicles in the body regions such as face, axilla, pubis and chest grow thicker if androgens are high but in contrast, androgens will Shrink or Weaken hair follicles on Scap

2) Oestrogen – High levels of oestrogen can lead to Gynacomastia (Man Boobs) ,Infertility (reduced sperm production) Erectile dysfunction, Decreased muscle mass ,Increased fat deposition . Ab se Hormonal Profile me Oestrogen bhi test karna Hai.

3) Thyroid -The thyroid hormone plays essential role in the development & maintenance of hair follicles. Then the body has too much or not enough thyroid hormone, it can shock the system ‘‘Eelogen Effluvium’’ Hairloss occurs when the thyroid gland is not working properly. It can be a sign of either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism

4) Cortisol – When cortisol levels are elevated due to chronic stress, it can lead to hairfall. Cortisol can also disrupt the balance or other hormones in the body, including testosterone & estrogen.

Despite having high level of Dht Some People Do not loose Hair. How ?
The DHT molecules needs a place to attach and show its action. Where do you think its gets attached ? Hava me Kaam thodi karega ?

It attaches on the Androgenic Receptors of your hair follicles. Once attached the receptors gets activated and transmits signals which begins the process of Hair thinning and hair fall. Some people Have inherently have less Andrigentic Receptors in the body and therefore despite having high levels of Dht they still tend to have good Hair.

Q) Sir Why do we block DHT , why cant we directly Block/deactivate the Recptors?
A) No medication can Completely block all the AR-receptors also it has Less selective, risk of systemic hormonal side effects (like gynecomastia, libido loss, menstrual irregularities) We still give AR receptors in Females like Spironolactone. That is why it is always advisable to Consult a Doctor before Taking any Dht blocker.
